"Then Sings My Soul"
I received a complimentary copy of "Then Sings My Soul" from www.booksneeze.com. This book was written by Robert J. Morgan. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the stories behind some of our most beloved hymns. This book also brought back many memories of the hymns I grew up singing in church. Morgan included a lot of the verses of hymns that we normally do not sing, so those were new to me. I also noted the amazing differences between some of the hymn writers and the writers of our Christian music today. These men and women of God would sometimes not accept money for their songs, because they felt like they were just doing what God had called them to do. Sadly, many of the hymn writers died tragic deaths. Some of these songs came about as a result of tragedy and showed their incredible faith in the God they sing about. There was also a good bit of U.S. and World History in this book. This book would also be a great tool for a worship leader to use in a church service. "Then Sings My Soul" is a very informative and well written book. I would strongly recommend reading it. The opinions expressed in this review are my own. I was not required to give a positive review.
